Listen Up!


It's back to school, so let's get back to basics. Do you know your ABCs? Come visit our Listen Up! display at the library.

A is for Auel... Jean Auel author of the great series Earth's Children. Give a listen to the audiobook The Clan Of The Cave Bear. A fantastic epic tale about a young girl's adventures 25, 000 years ago. If you enjoy historical fiction, this is a wonderfully written epic which includes exquisite details of our world as it might have been so long ago.

B is for Baldacci... David Baldacci is an awesome writer of suspense- political fiction. His audiobook Simple Genius will keep you on the edge of your seat. Two former secret service agents turned private investigators get involved in a murder of an important scientist in which the CIA is involved.

C is for Crichton... Michael Crichton, a medical doctor, is a writer best known for his novel Jurassic Park and creating the television program ER. His audiobook State Of Fear takes the reader from the glaciers of Iceland to the volcanoes of Antarctica, from the Arizona desert to the deadly jungles of the Solomon Islands, from the streets of Paris to the beaches of Los Angeles.

B is for Beatles Yellow Submarine. Songs from the animated motion picture released in 1968.

C is for Clapton Unplugged/ Eric Clapton. Recorded in 1992 on the MTV Unplugged television program.
